The HDJ Foundation honors educators each year at our annual Educators Gala, celebrating their leadership and diverse talents. We understand that the vital contributions of educators often go unrecognized, and this event serves to highlight their skills and dedication. By honoring educators, we affirm their passion for their profession and inspire our graduates to pursue careers in education, particularly aiming to increase the representation of teachers of color in our classrooms.

 

Each year, we select administrators/teachers in the following categories:

 

- The Innovative Leadership Award

- An Outstanding Mentorship Award

- The Community Engagement Award

- A Lifelong Learner Award

- The Educational Leadership Award

- An Impact on Student Success Award

 

Applications for these awards are distributed to public and charter school districts serving Kindergarten through 12th grade starting in February. The votes are counted, and winners are announced in May.
